Be thankful – how to express gratitude

Remember to send handwritten Thank-you cards

Right after the interview, remember to send handwritten thank-you cards. It does not matter if you get the job or not, always send thank-you to appreciate the person’s time. Something along the line of “Dear John, It was a pleasure meeting you. I would like to thank you for your time and for sharing with me about your fascinating work. Your passion for the company/product/team clearly shine through. I wish you all the best success with your work. Warm regards, Lily”

By sending thank-you card, you show that you truly care about the person and the company. Even if you don’t get the job, they will remember you for next time. And if you do get the job, you have started off with so much goodwill from your colleagues. Be sincere in your thank-you cards. After all, the person did take 45min of their day to talk to you.
