At the end of the interview, a common question is “Do you have any questions for us?” This is a valuable chance to ask an intelligent question and leave a good impression. Please do not waste this opportunity by asking a generic question.
Three types of questions you should ask:
- Questions to show your desire to excel. Example:”What are the performance metrics for this job? How can I become a top contributor to the team?”
- Questions to show your knowledge/passion for the company. Example “Your company just won a deal delivering goods for 7-Eleven, does this mean you are shifting your focus away from being just delivery food?”
- Burning concerns you have about the company/products/services. If you have concerns, you should ask these questions before taking on the job. If you don’t, you might regret joining later on.
